Hello and welcome to the Proof It Plus blog dubbed Locked on Lit because that’s exactly what I am! This blog was borne out of my passion and love of books and this post offers a little more information.
Recently, like so many, I have found myself with a little more time on my hands and space on my website. More free time in my world almost always means more reading and I really wanted a little book haven where I can share my love of books, my thoughts and get to know more of the wonderful book community.
I’m a bibliophile and an introvert at heart, rarely ever seen without a book or kindle on my person (or my face buried in said book or kindle) and if a conversation isn’t about books you can be sure I’ll try to swing it in my favour. Unfortunately, aside from my bookish bestie, I’m surrounded by non-readers (I can hear your gasps of horror from here) and so this blog is definitely my very own book nook that I hope to fill with some like-minded bookish friends.
By day I’m lucky enough to follow two of my passions in my work: the first is all about music and the arts in my work as a voice, singing and acting coach whilst the second comes right back to my love of books in my work as a qualified proofreader and copy-editor – something that you’ve probably already noticed since you’re on my Proof It Plus website!
As a reader I love variety and if it’s romance I’m probably going to read it. Some of my favourite genres and sub-genres are YA, NA, PNR and UF. I’m passionate about indie authors too so you can be sure that I will pay homage to as many as I can.
